Just in time for the holiday season, The Village at Leesburg is the newest retail development in Northern Virginia to take advantage of a new law allowing patrons to carry their drinks as they shop.
The law, passed by the Virginia General Assembly last year, is restricted to “commercial lifestyle centers” with at least 25 acres and 100,000 square feet of stores. Shoppers are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages in disposable cups but can’t bring in beverages from outside the shopping center.
The Village at Leesburg campaign encourages shoppers to “Drink the Good Life”. Visitors can purchase drinks from any of the many restaurants on site including Firebirds and Travinia Italian Kitchen and enjoy over 60 retail stores.
